IIRC, she straight murders you for disagreeing with her in the original version, and they published a stealth errata in later versions that made her a little less psychotic, though still incredibly violent and heavy-handed for someone who was supposed to be the designated head good guy.

Her entire character is a Karen. She apparently was in a tribe that was PATRIARCHY and because she didn’t have a penis she was told she was weak. So she found a dead giant and picked up the bastard sword, and won her tribe’s competition by having a massive sword. Despite not having the ability to hit anything.

9 sessions of roleplay. Characters talk to npcs, investigates, and interacts with the world.
10th session is the wargame. Roleplaying determined what units and how many they have to command.

Ex. Tau players uncover a genestealer cult. How early they discover it, and who they call up, determines their strength when the Tyranids attack.

9/10 rule (9 sessions, 10th being the wargame) gives a ticking clock to amass the largest army, and most efficient, which can only be done through investigating, quests, etc.

analog tends to persist in areas today where high rates of change are expected and formats need to be accessible an indeterminate amount of time in the future, such as film, where even films wholly recorded on digital cameras may be transferred to 35mm film (which can hold about the same amount of visual information as 4k, if handled correctly) for long-term storage; that way you always know you can view them with relatively simple, standard equipment (bearing in mind there were still people out there making VHS recorders five years ago, and film has outlasted even digital tape) and you don't need to worry about codecs

if you check the back of your tv/monitor, you may find any number of old-style analog transfer ports (SCART, VGA, even RCA, coaxial or S-Video); these are particularly ironic on modern PCs where flatscreens are by default digital, so instead of doing their former job of converting digital output to analog to display on a CRT monitor they're now going digital-analog-digital

cheap lightbulbs - LED ones - and other shit you got on a boat from China for ridiculous cheap may often be analog rather than digital just because there's a cost associated with having to flash the controller chips for the boards, and for very simple operations like being a fuckin lightbulb or heater you can do that creatively with 80 year old designs and a little electrical engineering skill

all lesbians are analog by default but it usually isn't enabled at first, ironically it's often a digital kick that sets off the analog experience

The world is split into various technological blocks, such as the North Atlantic pack, the Commonwealth, the Socialist scientific union and a few others.
Most poor nations find themselves in the unfortunate position of relying on one of the blocks for all of it's technological needs, being unable to fund R&D themselves they turn to the superblocks and offer they economic sovereignty in exchange for second hand tech in a form of neocolonialism.
The poorest and most unstable parts of the world however, don't have the luxury of such deals, instead they get nothing. Often the only bits of tech that the locals get their hands on are decade old, third hand devices from multiple different tech blocks

Since so many of us are stuck with online games for the time being, what are some suggestions on improving it for those of us that prefer in-person games? I’m getting tired of my players half paying attention while playing other shit in the background. I ask them to stop, but it’s like I can do much more than that. They’re all my friends so I don’t want to just abandon the and I like the game for the most part, but most of them have some pretty bad table top habits that playing online only seems to intensify.

This question of mine is mainly for a campaign that will only take place in one location. A very sizable location in which I will put a whole lot of world building details in. Mongrelmen. Race-mixing leads to Mongrelmen and everyone knows it. The pathetic wretches sully street corners, begging and stealing. Mixed couples are often harassed and sometimes lynched, depending on the nature of the mix. Crude graffiti covers walls and while officially guards aren't supposed to allow it many privately agree with sentiments like 'if it's half-green, it should've never been' and don't investigate thoroughly. Mixed race individuals are bereft of justice and encouraged to leave town at earliest opportunity and just pass through.

A great system of government for fantasy setting.
Larger forces to the east, north, west and south that fight for influence.
Constant proxy wars propped up by these forces.
Each can have completely isolated and unique governments/politics/intrigue to explore.
They wage "gentlemens wars", armies come together, fight one minor battle and go home.
Wars are usually fought over trading rights, minor settlements or honour
War crimes like burning down enemy cities and massacaring people is met with disgust.
This is partially because its bad for business. Why burn down potential trade partners after-all?
More importantly it is because despite their individual rivalries, there is a sense of comraderie and united identity between the states.
All this allows the party to experience "chivalric" warfare which doesn't become a commentary on the horrors of conflict.
The constant feuding also allows for the party to find ample work as conteacted adventurers of mercenaries.
In addition, the afformentioned shared identity allows the cities to unite when the BBEG reveals itself.
Finally, since each city state is its own bustling centre of commerce, all sorts of people move through them. This makes it very reasonable as to why some of the more exotic fantasy races a player might want to play happens to be there.
Overall, I run a city state campaign based off the Italian ones and can say it is very solid High Fantasy material.

I know I risk drawing the ire of the admins here. but i want to get something off my chest. If this post gets deleted or archived in record speed, then i will accept it as so.

and appologies if the drawing isnt the best. i didnt have enough practice while i was 3d modeling.

Recently in a subreddit called r/DnDmemes, one post stared a discussion about snake tits, and it was handled in a civiled manner. then came a rebuttal post. which was harsher and rather crude. Then the discussion went into a verbal war of accusations and name calling.....or at least thats what i heard.

That chaos earned the title Tiddygate2021, a flame where where two posts sparked the most chaotic skub i have seen in a subreddit

Now i dont expect the same sort of civility here because the internet is a place where a civil discussion can take a freak turn and find its way in a roundabout crash derby.

but i must ask, Why cant we just leave the snake tits chaos up to the DMs at the tables they run? it would be easier and less time consuming than debating about the biological accuracy of snakes with boobs.

at the end of the day, its fantasy. Magic is involved, and the fantasy world can have polar ice caps placed in the middle of california and still not melt for all i fucking care.

let snake people have tits or not so we can get back to fighting monsters and discussing about the civilization capacity of orcs

also if you guys wanna see the chaos for yourself, i have a link to the explanation of the mess by the admins. https://www.reddit.com/r/dndmemes/comments/luqlc5/tiddygate_2021_why_is_everyone_talking_about/

Tl;dr a ttrpg player made a discussion about snake tits, and it turned into a chaotic skub, throwing an entire subreddit into chaos.

My player character (sorcerer/acolyte of the skin) has bartered an infernal pact with the abishai devils that serve tiamat. In the service to her, I have gained power and prestige, but it isnt enough. While I wear the flesh of a green abishai and have a black abishai as my familiar, I am unsatisfied.

My wife (draconic human priestess of tiamat) would be a prime choice to breed with my abishai familiar. The progeny would be half fiends and possibly carry the dragonic blood that flows through her veins.

Is this a good idea? If everything goes as planned I will have half fiend and draconic spawn to serve in my armies and possibly produce a fetching mate to replace my current wife, but the act feels depraved and I dont know if I want to tread down this road.

I mean, you're already in with the devils so I don't know if selling your wife to them or not will be granting you any good noodle points.

>> No.77852603

Consorting with devils was going to bring you to this type of choice eventually. Do you think your character would cut their ties with them before it gets any worse, or bear with it and perform more acts of depravity?

Are there any?

Like not just "the secret world the none creatives and sheeple never see!" masturbatory power trips but something that focusses on a sinister "no, the whackjob radio jockeys were right.... or dinsinfo plants to cover up even worse shit".

It feels like in theory its the sort of thing where you want to skirt the line of /x/ shit but also make it a lot more "normal human: the law enforcement evasion" where a real world setting means you have to try and sell the where, what and whys of what your players would do with far less hand wavey "because its a fantasy/sci-fi setting" kind of thing.

Delta green is way too hoo-rah military focussed and everything else i've tried is just bootleg x files or worse, pretentious as fuck twin peaks knock off.

Can you pull off a conspiracy theory trpg?

Thats why you go the pre-Oblivion TES route and not implement 'humans', but instead iterations of humans with their culture mish-mashed and developed organically. You may have high elves, dark elves, etc but you also have redguards, nords, imperials, nedes, kothringi, etc.
Or at least, you could do this before marxism hit full swing and people decided fantasy races was wrongbad.
