Bitch the ENTIRE concept of the STC is that there is NO POINT in NEW technology admech wants to stick to the OLD technology.
If you can't even recognize THAT basic concept, I HIGHLY doubt you are can be right about anything else
> ... reads your post
Oh great so you really don't know anything.
Show me the Ynnead models and faction in pre 7th 40k. Oh? Its not there?
Show me Daemon Prinarch rules and models, IN A FUCKING CODEX, not Angrons one off rules from a white dwarf, and how they have been used in 40k before the end of 7th.
EVERY FUCKING ELDAR CODEX has been with blurbs stating the ekdar are a dying race. Since literally 3rd ed. But now we have an entire Ynnead faction.
As for Tyranids, they are a side show are best at this point. Oh noes Devestation of Baal... yet the entire threat of Leviathan attacking from beneath the galaxies plane is forgotten. Ghaz is now this super ork and the reincarnation of "the Beast" which has been ginned up out of nowhere.
The traditional 40 "teb minutes to midnight" has been thrown in the garbage. The Eye of terror is broken. The imperium is split. Primaris and Carl, which you even ADMIT you can't account for, are here.
There is zero point trying to say "oh this is still traditional warhammer."
They dont give a shit about lore when it comes to making money (see 40k, the fucking birth of Age of Sigmar).
There is no reason to say oh well its always like this when they PLAINLY have changed things as needed and as desired.
So there is no reason why they MUST keep some retarded "the LRL are brainwashing people!!!!" Subplot because "oh its grimdark and thats warhammer"

Anyone know good paint schemes for the current daemonettes.

Alternatively a good place for recasts of the classic ones.

or extra alternatively a good (reasonably priced) 3rd party daemonettes? (the only ones I can think of are raging heroes which look nice imo but are $25 for 5...)

Pendragon is *very* accurate... To the myths it's trying to recreate. It's not about how a fight between 15th century warriors would actually go down, but how they're portrayed in Arthurian mythos. So big battles are usually decided by one gallant charge, the sword is the greatest weapon in the world, bows and arrows are for npcs and hunting, not battles, etc

Anon that's a dull as shit list that's not fun to play and certainly not fun to play against. He said he's gonna play with with friends, just doesn't want to get completely spanked.
Vault Wardens are very fun to use and they aint terrible.
You can never have too many Khazad Guard.
And going more heavily into shooting would bring more nuance to the list.
Spamming 27 dwarf warriors with shields is just overkill. It is likely the "correct" move but unnecessary and sucks all the fun out of the game.

I agree that he should remove the twohanded axes and divide those points between more shield dwarves and bows, but keep the Wardens and Khazad Guard.

If they are exact statistical copies of the party, make the players run both but don't tell them which is which. You know that team B is the players and Team A is the changelings and drop subtle hints by referencing past events. Encourage the players to identify each other through passphrases and references to old events.
Hard mode: Run it double blind. Select which team is which after the fight by rolling. If the real party dies, your players now control the changelings and are tasked with enacting their plans.

Just make a good swarm system ?
With a variant size carac. and a potential moral breaking point ( half-dead swarm may dissipate if conditions are met.)
Any swarm stat-block wouldn't be much bigger than a creature one.

Sometimes at high levels I've seen GMs use an even lower tier than minions, treating the enemies like terrain hazards that also die when you walk over them in exchange for a small penalty.
I myself have used minion swarms to a similar effect, the enemy being both a swarm and minion so it also represents a tide of negligably weak enemies.

Traveller is a classic science fiction system first released in 1977. In its original release it was a general purpose SF system, but a setting was soon developed called The Third Imperium, based on classic space opera tropes of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, with a slight noir tint.

Though it can support a wide range of game types, the classic campaign involves a group of retired veterans tooling around in a spaceship, taking whatever jobs they can find in a desperate bid to stay in business, a la Firefly or Cowboy Bebop. Mercenary campaigns are also common and well-supported.

Making a Death Guard army list, but stuck as per what I should take for ranged anti tank. I’m thinking about three ideas (I want to be mono faction).

1. Predator Annhilator with lascannon sposons.

2. Plague Burst Crawler with Entropy Cannons.

3. Sacrifice long range to focus on raw medium ranged damage via a Hell Forged Leviathan Dreadnaught with twin Grav Bombards.

dude, if you can afford nice paint jobs, by all means commission some nice painted models. I would 100% rather play with you than anyone trying to field gray tide. also would not judge you at all for it, rather the opposite. If you were dedicated enough to spend a bunch of cash on quality work, then that would mean that you appreciated the artists work enough to pay good money for it, and IMO would show dedication to supporting the larger community by supporting that artist rather than just paypigging to GW for more plastic

What's your ideal take on space-travel in the fiction you enjoy and produce? Luxury space-cruisers ala The Enterprise, or grunge2themax like The Nostromo? Space as a bold new frontier, or a hell-void?

Also mention your favorite examples of the related topics, or anything else in sci-fi that really tickles your fancy.

I always enjoy the more “down to earth” approaches to space travel, if you will. Ships being driven by ol’ mate Newton for most of their voyage, punching in orbits, doing long burns during which the crew needs to be confined to acceleration couches and so on. The Expanse is a brilliant example for the higher end of this, although I find that I enjoy the aesthetics of Interstellar or 2001 a lot more. So yeah, I have pretty much caught the hard sci-fi virus, and I’m afraid it’s terminal.
That being said, when it comes to things I produce, I like to put things in contrast a bit. The ships may be cold and clinical in design and travelling through a deadly void, but on their inside you find home, comfort, a family in your crew. Where you can, you try to make the ship your home with decorations, furniture and such.
The only thing I keep getting hung up on is that I usually prefer a more Cassette Futurism aesthetic over the usual iFuture, but I always struggle to find a reason why cockpits would be filled with clicking buttons, datasette players, and chunky CRT-displays when the trend already heads toward touchscreen controls and the usual tasteless minimalism, SpaceX reeeee

Yeah, that is one of my gripes with them, beyond touchscreens just being a boring way to design cockpits or bridges in general. Just compare these two. Same way with how a lot of sci-fi uses holograms to just make boring “futuristic” swish-swoosh control interfaces.

Hunting probably isn't something she'd sleep through. For spiky things, perhaps she could use the induced docility to more easily kill and eat them normally. Dunno about attracting poisonous ones though. If it's sufficiently fantastical, maybe poison-aligned creatures are resistant to all poisons? So she'd only get sick if she slips up, and the frog wouldn't be entranced unless it's already like 10ft away.

>>77879232
Maybe could steal an idea from HTTYD zipplebacks? High concentrations of her breath are flammable, and she has some sparking mechanism in her mouth. Wouldn't be as potent as pure fire breath, but is still a more direct manner of defense.

Well, dragons are typically immune to their own element, so if she has a poison breath weapon, she'd probably be immune to poisons

>Maybe could steal an idea from HTTYD zipplebacks? High concentrations of her breath are flammable, and she has some sparking mechanism in her mouth. Wouldn't be as potent as pure fire breath, but is still a more direct manner of defense.
Possible, though I'd probably go with something like the above, a primary breath weapon that deals poison damage/poison effect depending on edition/system and a secondary one that's a charm/lure effect

How would you handle an entity like Tomie?

So far, the known qualities about her is that she can supernaturally compel men who lust after her but some men can seemingly resist this. She can also supposedly be killed by fire but if anything of her remains she can regrow from that piece, usually into something like pic related.

Worst, there are multiple versions of her scattered around the country and while they are just as awful as the original some of them do seem to desire the destruction of their copy and currently there is no known instance of the copies working together in any capacity.

Travelogue of the Succubus has a sideplot where a town is cursed by its reputation as a place for suicides, before the curse is somehow broken by the girl with the weird hair. It seems to be there to establish that multiple Junji Ito stories are occurring in travelogue's universe, as a moral perversion of God's creation becomes a supernatural one.

>What is the ideal implementation of kobolds?

Kobolds should be the able, willing and loyal minions of their draconic master. Most likely of the same scaly hue as them, but I don't see why a dragon would turn down the service of a different kobold breed. Kobolds should live and fight like Actually Working Communism, willing to die for Best Comrade Dragon. They should be the dragon's eyes, ears and mouth for the majority of it's interactions with lesser humanoids, rolling into town in squad strength when they need to proclaim something or trade for food. They should try and engage adventurers with subtle manipulations and a friendly temperament regardless of alignment, ever eager to make new allies. Their traps and ambushes should be Arminius-tier. No more skaven-tempered lizard-goblins, more /k/obolds!

You've got to remember the context of the Cold War. France had been withdrawing from NATO since 1959, being fully removed from NATO integrated command and all foreign troops removed from French soil by 1966. Involvement with Vietnam was just as much about trying to keep France from becoming further isolationist in the event of a war in Europe. Also you have to remember that the USSR was just as willing to mess with internal politics of other communist nations for the own benefit, be it the direct military interventions in WarPact nations to keep them under heel or the economic and development requirements that came along with Soviet aid, to even just playing kingmaker with local politics.
